MODULE AIM:This module aims to provide an overview of the aims, concepts and evidence related to screening and brief intervention in AOD work.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

  • describe the benefits of screening and brief intervention in AOD work.
  • give examples of factors that should be considered when selecting a screening tool,
  • summarise one or more brief intervention models that can be used to facilitate change-focussed conversations with clients.
LENGTH:30 minutes
CPD:Participation in this activity may contribute to CPD. A Statement of Completion will be issued on completion of this module.
