MODULE AIM:

The aim of this module is to equip workers with knowledge related to withdrawal states, including their management, assessment and the provision of person-centred care to young people and adults.

N.B. For specialist withdrawal management training, please access our face-to-face and online workshops.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of this module, workers will be able to: 

  • understand the concept of substance withdrawal
  • prioritise safety, dignity and person-centred support during withdrawal management
  • evaluate treatment setting and identify appropriate withdrawal management settings based on client needs and risks
  • plan for holistic care, including post-withdrawal options.
LENGTH:30 minutes
CPD:Participation in this activity may contribute to CPD. A Statement of Completion will be issued on completion of this module.
